Hello, and welcome to my academic website! I joined the faculty of the University of Pittsburgh School of Business in 2024 after earning my PhD from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. My research focuses on how management control system design influences the judgment and decision-making of employees, managers, and investors. I currently teach accounting information systems and have previously taught managerial and financial accounting.

Before starting my doctoral studies, I received my B.S. and M.S. degrees in accounting from Minnesota State University Moorhead. I’m also a licensed CPA and CMA, bringing several years of experience in both public and private accounting to my work.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Carmen, and exploring our new home city of Pittsburgh; lifting weights and running; training Muay Thai and watching mixed martial arts; and relaxing with a good book, tv show, or movie.
